I wonder every spring and autumn how geese navigate so well. At night or day in clear weather or on cloudy they will come from the same route. Nothing can prevent them.
Within a couple of day in the second half of May some 200 000 barnacle geese and 300 000 brent geese wintering around the North Sea also fly north over the Gulf of Finland to their nesting grounds around the Arctic Ocean.

| This year, the barnacle geese stopped in Parikkala region while migrating north. Approximately 70 000 geese were foraging in the fields simultaneously. |
